Living Here
Gerard has spent his whole life in Halifax Chebucto. Growing up he attended St. Catherine’s Elementary, Oxford School and St. Patrick’s High School. He continued living in the riding as he completed his Bachelor of Science (Kinesiology) from Dalhousie University, a Bachelor of Education from Acadia University and a Masters of Education from St. Francis Xavier University.

Gerard has been a teacher, hockey coach with the Halifax Hawks, staff advisor and coach of countless school-based sports and clubs, Parishioner of St. Catherine’s of Sienna Church and an advocate for Physical Activity and Health opportunities across Nova Scotia.

Gerard has always been involved in this community, but with his three children growing up in the same riding he grew up in, attending the same aging schools, with the many challenges that face our Province right now, he is stepping up to engage and listen, and fight for solutions as he runs to be the MLA for Halifax Chebucto in the next Provincial Election.
